At Crossbasket Castle we do everything we can to provide you with the perfect wedding venue for your special day. In addition to our wonderfully attentive team, luxurious furnishings and food, our castle provides you with a wedding setting like no other.
Dating back to the 17th century, our castle has been lovingly restored with extra attention added to maintain as much of the original architecture and features as possible. Surrounded by acres of green estate and nearby woodland trails, rivers and waterfalls, our castle wedding venue is a true whirlwind romantic escape, whilst still being only a stone’s throw away from Glasgow.
Your Wedding Ceremony
We hold a wedding licence which means you can choose to have both your wedding ceremony (religious or civil) here, as well as your reception. Your wedding ceremony can be held in various rooms within Crossbasket Castle, depending on your wedding party size.
For small and very intimate weddings, you can book our 16th century Lindsay Tower Suite for a truly unique ceremony. Spread across 4 stories with a sweeping spiral staircase, this romantic venue provides an unforgettable experience for you and five guests.
For larger parties, you can get married in our James Little Hall, the Stewart Room or the gold-leafed Baillie Room, decorated with ornate chandeliers and antique paintings and furnishings. Or you can hire the entire castle for large weddings of up to 250 people to get uninterrupted access to the Roosevelt Ballroom and more, where you can enjoy an unforgettable experience that celebrates your and your partner’s love for each other.
Our Extra Special Touches
No matter your party size or the ceremony room you select, we want to make your wedding as unique and special as possible.
That’s why we encourage you to invite your florist to arrange floral displays that compliment your bridal bouquet, that our staff can place throughout the castle for you. We can also help you to organise music that compliments yours and your partner’s tastes.
In the evening, food is served from our Michel Roux Jnr Restaurant. We can serve a truly indulgent feast for you and your guests and create a menu that suits all your dietary needs.
Lastly, our wedding packages can also include overnight accommodation for up to 18 people, plus a complimentary breakfast in the morning. For extra guests looking to stay, our holiday lodges are available to book and are the perfect place for your friends or families to stay overnight after the celebrations.
