Crossbasket Castle is a Luxury 5 Star Hotel and Event Venue on the outskirts of Glasgow. We are looking to recruit experienced bartenders for our lounge, function and restaurant teams, you will play a key role engaging with guests and providing outstanding service. 

You will undertake tasks including:

• Setting the bar to standard
• Preparing and serving cocktails, wine, champagne, beers and soft drinks
• Preparing and serving hot beverages
• Function wine service
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the bar
• Stock rotation and organisation
• Engaging with guests and providing outstanding service
• Preparing and setting for functions and conferences

Highly desirable candidates will demonstrate experience in high volume or luxury operations. Candidates from other backgrounds will be considered if passion for delivering outstanding service and knowledge is demonstrable.

Key Responsibilities:

• To manage reservations, seating plans and guest flow efficiently during service periods, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience
• To be hands-on and fully present during busy service periods, anticipating guest needs before they arise
• To be a team player at all times, remaining flexible to ensure all operations are guest-focused, efficient and run to the highest possible standard
• To liaise effectively with the events manager to ensure functions and private dining experiences are coordinated and delivered flawlessly

• To maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment at all times, in line with our five-star standards and food safety regulations
• To wash, clean and store all crockery, cutlery, glassware and kitchen equipment efficiently, ensuring items are always available during service
• To support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring chefs have everything they need to deliver to the highest standard
• To manage the disposal of kitchen waste correctly and in line with our sustainability practices
• To assist with the receipt and storage of food deliveries, ensuring correct rotation and storage procedures are followed at all times
