Laura and Craig

October 2024

We had the most amazing wedding day at Crossbasket Castle and truly couldn’t have asked for anything more. From the very first moment we walked through the doors at the wedding fayre, Laura made us feel so welcome and supported, helping bring our vision to life.

Every single person involved in our day went above and beyond — from the incredible staff who looked after us throughout the wedding and into the evening, to the housekeeping team the next morning who continued that same level of care and attention.

Crossbasket Castle is such a unique and personal venue, and it creates an atmosphere that is simply unforgettable. It’s a place you will absolutely fall in love with and one we feel so lucky to have been married at.

All of our guests had the best time, and even now, people are still talking about how special and enjoyable the whole day was.

What we ate – Starter - Melon with Seasonal Berries Main course - Free Range Chicken Breast, mashed potatoes, vegetables – chicken gravy. Desert - Sticky toffee pudding, vanilla ice cream, butterscotch
Favourite moment – Its hard to choose, but one of our favourite moments was dancing with friends and family with the band in a beautifully decorated ballroom
The night before – The bride and her parents and dog stayed in one of the stunning lodges at crossbasket which was lovely, spacious and just a beautiful place to stay.
The next morning –  We had breakfast with family and friends who stayed at crossbasket castle with us, this was a nice way to end a magical weekend.
Top tips – Book crossbasket for your wedding you will not be disappointed. You do not need to over decorate as the venue is stunning on its own, however Purple Willows is incredible and will help you decide on the best way to decorate as they know the venue very well.
